One year later, his family moved to Istanbul and he lives in Istanbul since then.
In 1983, when he was 12 years old, he started to work for a bus company as an "assistant boy" / serving coffee, cleaning/washing the bus, etc.
When he was 18, he got his B class driving license and when 22, he was able to get his E class license (long vehicle license).
In 1993, he became, most probably the youngest assistant bus driver / "second captain"'. In 1995, he was promoted to be the "main captain" / first driver of Mercedes V8 buses... the best of those times.
In 1999, he bought his first van... a Mercedes Sprinter and started to tour around with guests visiting Turkey.
From that time onwards, Cevat is in tourism-transport business and eveywhere he goes, he gains appreciation of his guests because of his safe driving skills, always in-good-shape of his vehicles and service mentality.
If you look at this from another perspective,
Cevat Cevik is addiction... people meeting him are always welcomed with a smiling face, accepted as guests and being treated with respect.
Cevat Cevik is addiction... because of his driving skills, people feel as comfortable as if they, themselves are driving their own cars.
From 2008 onwards, Cevat Cevik provides touring vehicles for KSG Tourism Transport. He offers his own touring vehicle in the service of guests and in times when his vehicle is not available, he manages to find best available wheels & drivers in the market.
And Cevat, does his job with love, enthusiasm and great pleasure.
What can we say... Cevat is addiction !
